Seven Dwarves' Cakes (last cake uploaded January 2021)

To date I have made 13 cakes which amounts to 91 little dwarves

13 Sleepys; 13 Sneezys; 13 Dopeys; 13 Bashfuls; 13 Happys; 13 Grumpys; 13 Docs

The cakes consisted of 91 chocolate fingers for their bodies;

Chocolate animal bars for the head and foot boards on the 13 beds;

13 bed covers (7 pink covers and 6 blue covers); 175 slippers; 91 bed hats;

The odd hands and feet out the covers;  13 bags of gold; 13 sets of working tools

and 12 sponge cakes (one was not a cake)

* With the exception of Christine these were all made for their 7th birthdays.  Christine got a special treat for her 18th birthday as she was envious of Stuart and Caroline getting these made for them.  Christine also had an extra treat as the bed was a Battenburg Cake which is her favourite cake.

My God-daughter Jennifer's 7th birthday - May 1994

This was the first cake I made and I said at Jennifer's party that you can eat everything forgetting that the headboard and footboard was made out of cardboard which was covered with fondant icing.  Jennifer's cousin Stephanie was chewing and chewing and we all shrieked when we realised that she was chewing the cardboard!!!  How awful - that's when I decided that the next cakes would have chocolate head and foot boards.

The construction of a 7 Dwarves Cake

This was for Olivia's 7th birthday but due to Covid restrictions I could not make her an actual birthday cake so instead I made a miniature cake decoration to send to them for Felicity to put on a cake for her - January 2021
It survived the mail journey ok which was a relief
